    Description

    A vintage pair of
    sterling silver earrings by Kalo,
    a well known Chicago silversmith of the American Arts and Crafts movement.   They have smooth-polished domes trimmed with five balls or “beads” at the base, set inside open circles of silver. They are fitted with the original screwbacks which are also sterling silver, and date to between 1915 and 1920.

    Each earring is stamped “
    STERLING
    ” with the maker’s mark “
    KALO
    ” on the reverse. The screwback turns are also marked “
    STERLING.

    Some tarnish and slight age-consistent surface scratching but no dings or dents. The screwbacks in good working order.
